NICU Stay & Going Home
July 25, 2025 Sup m’nerds? Sorry, couldn’t help it; it’s an Office reference. Lol. Anyway, I know it’s been awhile so I will try to play catch up and get you all up to speed on everything Vosloo! So with my last entry, I gave you the story of Sal’s birth. Now, let’s get into the recovery phase of it, (for me), and the NICU phase of it, (for all of us). I will start by saying that the first week or so of recovery was ROUGH. It took quite awhile before I was able to get my pain to a manageable level. For at least two days, I felt like I could never get enough sleep. Idk if it was a lasting effect of the anesthesia, a trauma response for my body, a reaction to the medication I was on or what. But I just could not stay awake. I’m really thankful Chris ended up using FMLA and stayed with me instead of going back to work 5 days after Sal was born like we originally planned.
